The Free Standing Serpent Pod Climber (Set of 9) set comes with 9 vertical climbing posts with an array of heights ranging from two to six steps. The ergonomic ‘pod’ steps have spaces which can be used as handles, and their clever circular shape allows children to step on them or hang from them at any angle. Although they can be installed in a variety of arrangements, it is recommended that they be installed adjacent to each other as shown in the picture to create a winding ‘snake’ pathway, with the tallest climbers in the middle. This way children can maneuver across the posts while climbing, moving in any direction to any post that they can reach. Kids naturally want to climb to the highest part of every playground structure, and with this arrangement they can either climb straight up the tallest post, or start from the outside and move upwards towards it. For the same reason, the uppermost step of each climber has a vertical handrail post which makes it easy for kids to hang on and balance as they step from the top of one climber to the next.
